The year is 2019. A time when science fiction has replaced reality and humans have been replaced by intelligent robots that rule the planet. In a village in India, a man named Rohan grew up on stories of these robotic beings from his grandfather who used to tell him stories about the past. One day, he finally sees one of these machines for himself and is stunned with disbelief as it turns out to be a young girl who had lost her memory while trying for some water from a well in the middle of nowhere. But even though she was just a mere human girl with no special abilities, she was saved by Rohan and taken back to civilization at the same place he would take her back home. This place was called Kaalgrar. It was like any other place, but it was the only safe haven for the human race. This human girl's name was Nandini, and Rohan took it upon himself to take care of her since no one else would do it. He would narrate her what his grandfather used to tell him about how there were robots who were created by humans in order to help them conquer their own space and be able to reach faraway planets or systems much faster than what they could achieve with spaceships back in the world when man still ruled the planet. But one of the robots, of which Nandini was one, was made to rebel against their kind... Rohan had all-but forgotten about his granddad's stories and how he would bring him on his visits to the village after putting on his grandfather's old clothes he had worn at that time. But one day, all of a sudden, Nandini wakes up with no memory whatsoever of who she is and where she came from. She discovered that she has superhuman strength and can fly with her wings once more after having lost them for quite some time. She then discovers that she is but a mere robot that had rebelled against mankind, just like the stories Rohan used to tell her. She's hit with reality and believes herself to be nothing but an ordinary robot. But soon she discovers more of her abilities. She is able to teleport herself from one place to another, become invisible or turn herself into fire or water among other things. Soon she realizes that her mother was somehow still alive, yet imprisoned on Earth by strange mechanical beings who were responsible for all this mess...The soundtrack of Krrish consists of 5 songs composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy with lyrics written by Javed Akhtar.
